New Course!
It's not too late to join up with a new course entitled, " My Crazy Imperfect Christian Family: Living Out Your Faith With Those Who Know You Best ". A really long title, but very descriptive. The course meets at 5:00 PM each Sunday and the Co-Facilitators are Mike & Myia Carreiro.
Here's a little more descriptive information: This parenting course will explore and debunk the myths surrounding the supposedly perfect Christian family. The class will tackle tough issues and discuss what really should happen in a Christian home. Be the parent, spouse, child, and sibling God wants you to be. Above all, remember that it's not about being perfect--it's about being open and real.
The course has already started but it's not too late to catch up and join the discussions. Oh yeah, and the books are available at no cost to participants!
Another course is currently being reviewed for later presentation and here's how you can help the CEC program continue offering courses that are both interesting, stimulating and beneficial to the growing Christian: suggest course subjects, become a facilitator, participate in the next course offering. Other CEC News
You may have heard that we are developing a new discipleship track; it is modeled from the NASCAR racetrack with a start, finish, and four turns and we are calling it On Track with Jesus. Newcomers to CPBC can be plugged in anywhere on the track: Turn#1 includes courses that orient the seeker or new Christian to the church, and origins of our faith. Turn#2 includes courses that will discuss basic Christian doctrine, Baptist history and our relationship to our Lord. Turn#3 will include courses for leadership and Bible study and Turn#4 will explore the individual's gifts and opportunities for Christian service.
