The Mission Statement of Cherry Point Baptist Church

We believe that the followers of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, are instructed to live everyday with one primary goal, to honor God. During his ministry on this earth, Jesus honored God by sharing the light of God's love with others. The Bible records his instructions to his disciples. "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:14-17) We have taken this instruction seriously. That is why our church has adopted the vision of Sharing the Light of God's Love with our Community . In one way or another, every ministry our church conducts is designed to meet that objective. It is how we honor God.
 
  • C.A.R.E. Ministry - When we share food, clothing, shelter, labor or any other tangible assistance, we honor God by sharing his love.
  • Discipleship Ministry - When we teach the Word of God and lead people into a personal relationship with him, we honor God and share his love.
  • Worship Ministry - When we lead people into the presence of God in worship, we honor him and share his love.
This is not a gimmick! We are not doing these ministries to get you to come to our church or give money to our church. We do this because there is a God in heaven who loves you. Let us know if you want to get to know Him better or if you want to be a part of a church family whose vision is to Share the Light of God's Love with our Community.
